Dabane TrustNews and ReportsDabane Trust was established in 1991 to alleviate water and food security problems of the people living in arid and semi-arid areas of Zimbabwe. The organisation operates in the south western areas of the country that are generally classified as arid and semi-arid rangelands, namely Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North, and parts of the Midlands provinces where it develops and supports sustainable low technology community initiatives.

Our VisionDabane Trust envisages rural communities developing appropriate and sustainable water resources and increasing food-growing capacities. Our MissionDabane Trust seeks to assist rural communities to develop water sources and to increase their livelihood and food security. The organisation exists to support initiatives that improve general livelihood, individual and community self-reliance, giving special attention to community and household levels where gender relations of inequality are entrenched. |
